The Imitation of Christ
Thomas à Kempis. After the Bible, the most read Christian book for five centuries.
- Best modern: William C. Creasy (Ave Maria Press)
- Traditional: Baronius Press pocket edition (with reflections) (Baronius Press)
- Literary: Ronald Knox & Michael Oakley (Ignatius Press)
Also good: The Vintage Spiritual Classics edition (9780375700187) is a good inexpensive choice.
